Parking: Starlight and Grand Villa both offer complimentary parking. Parq charges by licence plate, but members of Encore Rewards park free once they earn at least 15 points. BCLC's Casinos BC listings show free parking at Hastings Casino, Great Canadian Casino Vancouver and Elements Casino Surrey. At Cascades Casino Delta and Cascades Casino Langley, the adjoining hotels give free parking to their own guests. River Rock's own arrangements are explained on the Canada Line and parking page.
Changes of ownership: Great Canadian Entertainment sold River Rock in a transaction that closed on June 16, 2026. Two buyers made the purchase in partnership: Petroglyph Development Group (Snuneymuxw First Nation), together with Musqueam Capital Corp (Musqueam Indian Band). Petroglyph Development Group has also owned Great Canadian Casino Vancouver since May 5, 2026.
Horse racing: Hastings stopped live thoroughbred racing in December 2025, while its simulcast racebook carries on. At Fraser Downs, next to Elements, live harness racing came to an end on August 15, 2025.
No. 3Rules common to all BC casinos
In British Columbia, gambling is open to adults aged 19 and over. Each visitor has been required, since June 26, 2023, to present an original, government-issued photo ID on arrival. Security staff scan the document and check it against the restricted list, where Game Break is also included. Nothing personal is retained for guests who are admitted.
Indoors, smoking and vaping are not allowed, nor are they allowed within 6 metres of doorways, open windows or air intakes.
Where larger amounts of money are involved, you may wish to keep the following in mind:
- A source-of-funds declaration is needed for a buy-in of $10,000 or more within 24 hours, whether in cash, bank drafts or certified cheques.
- Your identity will be verified by the casino when a single day's buy-ins or payouts come to $3,000.
- Payouts over $10,000 have been reported to FINTRAC from October 1, 2025.
No. 4Help available at each venue

No. 5Checking hours before you go
Should you like to know whether a given venue will be open at a particular time, the request card on the desk is available for that purpose. The venues note that their hours can change, so you might look at the venue's own website before setting out.
